MCM Expo.

Well last weekend I decided to take a trip back to London and attend the MCM expo!

I had never been on a Saturday and could not believe how busy it was!!!

WAS GREAT THOUGH!!

I met some amazing fellow artists there and got some real nice things too!

It's funny though because I am talking to these people online as well as at these expo's now,

but I am now at the point where I actually would like to have a good old natter over a few drinks (or maybe more than a few hahahaha) with these people now.

It comes down to basically me wanting to break into the comic industry and meet and make friends with those who are also in it too. 

Anyhoo before I bore you rigid, here are just a few pics I took over the weekend.

First thing first. I GOT A CINTIQ!! I LOVE IT lmao

Got a little Sketch from Becky Cloonan!! I love this so much, I also got a Print from Paul Duffield (Freak Angels artist) but no picture as its safe in the packaging it came in for now along with this Cloonan sketch. I need to get a frame for both asap!

Warren Ellis was there too!! So many people were queuing to see him! I managed to get a real quick sketch of him. Sadly I wanted to sketch more but it was so busy stopping and getting a sketchbook out amongst the crowd was a death wish LOL

This is what I managed to pick up at expo. I have seen what Emma Vieceli and Kate Brown bought and I must of been walking round with my eyes shut!! LOL I got some nice stuff but my god I did miss some too. So will be having a good hunt next MCM and Thought Bubble too!!

This was a sketch from my sketchbook that I inked and thought I'd try a grey scale colouring in photoshop.
Just me playing about with textures and grey tones really. It looked alright without the textures as well so I have uploaded both lol

May colour it in an overlay layer.

The Old Man and Death.

This is the Illustration that I had done for the Cheltenham Illustration Awards. Well it was set as a project at Uni and I am debating whether to enter it or not.

The story as the title says. It's from the Aesop's Fable with the same title, about an old man who

has had enough of the job he is currently doing and wishes to die only to have death appear

before him.

The moral is "Be careful what you wish for"

So I decided to illustrate that and this is what I cam up with.

The deadline for this project is tomorrow and I am mega tired so the background is not

as I would actually like it but it'll have to do for now o.O
